This course defines Sensory Integration and the role of the eight senses in processing information. This course explores why individuals might struggle to focus or follow multi-step directions, often due to central processing issues, such as a "traffic jam" in the brain. Students will learn to identify the three core Sensory Modulation patterns —Hyper-responsivity, Hypo-responsivity, and Sensory Seeking. The focus is on implementing practical, preventative strategies in their environment, including using processing time, simplifying language, and modifying the light and noise in their workspace.
